Collection: Audio Support Engineer

We are a professional audio distribution company based in Potters Bar and are looking for someone to join our small but perfectly formed team.

The successful candidate must be a self-motivated and professional individual with a positive 'can do' attitude. We try to recognise any strengths and build on those, but it may be necessary to carry out duties outside your current expertise. Full training will be available on the products involved and we encourage and assist with employee development as much as possible.

As you become familiar with our core product range you will be involved with system design, demonstrations and technical support. As well as maintaining, testing and organising our demo stock. 

Job description:

  • Office based with occasional on-site and off-site product demos for customers
  • Assisting customers with product choice within their specifications
  • Specifying systems with an understanding of application and budget
  • Staying up to date with technical product knowledge
  • Provide technical support to customers along with troubleshooting
  • Checking and updating software and firmware of demo and new stock
  • Maintaining and nurturing customer relationships
  • Managing technical repairs
  • Overseeing technical content of tradeshows and open days
  • Any other reasonable requests
  • Reports directly to the Commercial Director


  • Strong technical skills with some commercial awareness
  • Excellent spoken and written English as well as good listening skills
  • Good time management
  • Professional and respectful attitude
  • Thorough and methodical, giving particular attention to detail
  • Good understanding of digital products, particularly IP and networking
  • Full, clean driving licence

Bonus skills:

  • Familiarity with our core brands
  • Experience with AV in the live sound and theatre industry
  • Working knowledge of IP networks within digital intercom
  • Familiar with eCommerce platform such as Shopify
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM or similar

Dependent on experience and skillset

25 days plus public holidays

Working hours
Monday to Friday, 10am to 6pm, with the occasional evening and very occasional weekend
