DPA N-Series Digital Wireless System

DPA N-Series Digital Wireless System

At the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2025 event this morning, DPA Microphones unveiled their groundbreaking N-Series Digital Wireless System, marking the company’s first foray into wireless technology. Renowned for its high-quality microphones, DPA aims to extend their legacy of pristine sound into the wireless domain with this new offering.

The N-Series is a fully digital, true diversity, wideband system designed to preserve the natural, unaltered sound that DPA microphones are celebrated for. This system ensures that the clear and authentic audio captured by DPA microphones is transmitted seamlessly, maintaining its integrity throughout the signal chain.

Key Features of the N-Series Digital Wireless System:

True Diversity: The system employs a true diversity setup, also known as radio diversity, where two antennas are connected to separate radio circuits. This configuration enhances signal reliability by reducing the likelihood of dropouts, as each antenna input operates independently.

Wideband Flexibility: Covering a frequency range from 470 MHz to 870 MHz—a 400 MHz span—the N-Series offers exceptional flexibility. This extensive range allows users to find available channels even in densely populated RF environments, safeguarding the system against potential frequency reallocations by regulatory authorities.

Fully Digital Transmission: Developed as a fully digital system from the ground up, the N-Series treats the audio signal with the highest possible integrity throughout the wireless transmission, ensuring that the original sound remains uncoloured and true to the source.

High Dynamic Range: The N-Series boasts an impressive dynamic range, capturing the full spectrum of audio nuances without compromise. This feature is particularly beneficial for applications requiring high-fidelity sound reproduction.

DPA Microphones has a longstanding commitment to delivering natural and transparent sound. With the introduction of the N-Series Digital Wireless System, they are extending this commitment into the wireless realm, providing audio professionals with a reliable and flexible solution that upholds the company’s high standards.

The N-Series Digital Wireless System is scheduled to be available in Europe in Spring 2025 and in the United States in late Summer 2025.

With the N-Series, DPA Microphones continues to innovate, ensuring that exceptional sound quality doesn’t stop at the microphone but is carried through every link in the audio chain.
