The EM Acoustics EMS-156 Narrow is a high-output 2-way passive reflex-loaded full-range loudspeaker designed for applications that require focused coverage, high SPL and precise pattern control from a single enclosure. Finished in white, it is ideal for theatres, houses of worship, corporate AV and premium fixed installations where controlled dispersion and discreet visual integration are essential.

The EMS-156 Narrow is built around a 15” neodymium low-frequency driver combined with a 1.4” exit neodymium high-frequency compression driver, loaded onto a narrow-dispersion, rotatable constant-directivity waveguide for flexible horizontal or vertical deployment. This configuration delivers powerful low-frequency authority, excellent projection and tightly controlled coverage, making it particularly effective in reverberant spaces or applications requiring long-throw performance. Performance is rated at approximately 65 Hz – 20 kHz (±3 dB) with a maximum peak SPL of around 136 dB, supported by 750 W RMS / 1500 W programme power handling and a nominal impedance of 8 ohms.

Housed in a rigid, multi-angled birch plywood enclosure, the EMS-156 Narrow offers a more natural and controlled sound than plastic alternatives while maintaining excellent durability for permanent installations. Its passive design allows full optimisation via external amplification and DSP, making it a powerful and precise solution for system designers seeking maximum output with tightly controlled dispersion in visually sensitive environments.
