The EM Acoustics EMS-159 Outdoor is a powerful, two-way passive reflex-loaded full-range loudspeaker designed for professional applications that demand high output, extended low-frequency performance and precise control from a single enclosure, with the added assurance of outdoor-ready construction. Finished in durable black, it is ideally suited to live venues, theatres, houses of worship, corporate AV, touring systems and demanding installed sound environments, including semi-exposed and outdoor locations.

The EMS-159 is built around a 15” neodymium low-frequency driver paired with a 1.4” exit neodymium high-frequency compression driver, mounted on a rotatable constant-directivity waveguide for flexible horizontal or vertical deployment. This configuration delivers strong low-frequency authority, excellent projection and consistent coverage, making it equally effective for high-impact music reinforcement and clear, intelligible speech. Performance is rated at approximately 65 Hz – 20 kHz (±3 dB) with a maximum peak SPL of around 136 dB, supported by 750 W RMS / 1500 W programme power handling and a nominal impedance of 8 ohms, allowing the EMS-159 to perform confidently as a standalone full-range loudspeaker or as part of a larger system with subwoofers.

As part of the Outdoor Range, cabinets are finished as standard in a highly durable two-part polyurethane paint, with stainless-steel grilles and fixings and treated cone surfaces for enhanced weather resistance and long-term reliability. To ensure a clean, discreet installation, the enclosure can be adapted to your exact requirements, including the removal of handles, pole mounts or unnecessary rigging points once the specification is confirmed. Connection options are equally flexible, with a choice of standard NL4, single NLT4MP connector, or a weather-sealed gland with a fixed 2 m loudspeaker cable, allowing seamless integration into your system design.
