The EM Acoustics EMS-51X Outdoor is an ultra-compact, two-way passive loudspeaker designed for applications where space is extremely limited but sound quality, control and long-term reliability are essential. Finished in durable black and engineered for outdoor and semi-exposed use, it is ideal for theatres, corporate AV, museums, retail, hospitality venues and discreet installed sound systems requiring enhanced weather resistance.

The EMS-51X combines a 5” neodymium low-frequency driver with a 1.1” exit neodymium high-frequency compression driver, mounted on a rotatable constant-directivity waveguide for flexible horizontal or vertical deployment. Despite its compact footprint, it delivers impressive clarity, excellent vocal intelligibility and consistent coverage, making it well suited to speech-focused systems as well as background and foreground music. Performance is rated at approximately 80 Hz – 20 kHz (±3 dB) with a maximum peak SPL of around 119 dB, supported by 200 W RMS / 400 W programme power handling and a nominal impedance of 8 ohms.

As part of the Outdoor Range, cabinets are finished as standard in a highly durable two-part polyurethane paint, with stainless-steel grilles and fixings and treated cone surfaces for enhanced resistance to moisture, corrosion and environmental exposure. To ensure a clean, discreet installation, the enclosure can be adapted to your exact requirements, including the removal of handles, pole mounts or unnecessary rigging points once your specification is confirmed. Connection options are equally flexible, with a choice of standard NL4, single NLT4MP connector, or a weather-sealed gland with a fixed 2 m loudspeaker cable, allowing seamless integration into your system design.
