The EM Acoustics EMS-61 Outdoor is a compact, two-way passive reflex-loaded loudspeaker designed for high-quality sound reinforcement where size, clarity and control matter. Finished in durable black and engineered for outdoor and semi-exposed use, it is equally suited to theatres, corporate AV, houses of worship, hospitality venues and discreet installed systems requiring enhanced weather resistance.

The EMS-61 combines a 6.5” neodymium low-frequency driver with a 1” exit neodymium high-frequency compression driver, mounted on a rotatable 90° × 60° constant-directivity waveguide for flexible horizontal or vertical deployment. Its multi-angled birch plywood enclosure delivers a more natural, controlled sound than plastic alternatives, making it highly effective for both speech and music. Performance is rated at 80 Hz – 20 kHz (±3 dB) with a maximum peak SPL of 124 dB, allowing the EMS-61 to operate confidently as a standalone loudspeaker or as part of a larger system when paired with subwoofers.

As part of the Outdoor Range, cabinets are finished as standard in a highly durable two-part polyurethane paint, with stainless-steel grilles and fixings and treated cone surfaces to improve resistance to moisture, corrosion and long-term environmental exposure. To ensure a clean, discreet installation, the enclosure can be adapted to your exact requirements, including the removal of handles, pole mounts or unnecessary rigging points once the specification is confirmed. Connection options are equally flexible, with a choice of standard NL4, single NLT4MP connector, or a weather-sealed gland with a fixed 2 m loudspeaker cable, allowing seamless integration into your system design.
