The EM Acoustics EMS-159 is a powerful, two-way passive reflex-loaded full-range loudspeaker designed for professional applications that demand high output, extended low-frequency performance and precise control from a single enclosure. Finished in durable black, it is ideally suited to live venues, theatres, houses of worship, corporate AV, touring systems and demanding installed sound environments.

The EMS-159 is built around a 15” neodymium low-frequency driver paired with a 1.4” exit neodymium high-frequency compression driver, mounted on a rotatable constant-directivity waveguide for flexible horizontal or vertical deployment. This configuration delivers strong low-frequency authority, excellent projection and consistent coverage, making it equally effective for high-impact music reinforcement and clear, intelligible speech. Performance is rated at approximately 65 Hz – 20 kHz (±3 dB) with a maximum peak SPL of around 136 dB, supported by 750 W RMS / 1500 W programme power handling and a nominal impedance of 8 ohms, allowing the EMS-159 to perform confidently as a standalone full-range loudspeaker or as part of a larger system with subwoofers.

Housed in a rigid, multi-angled birch plywood enclosure, the EMS-159 delivers a more natural and controlled sound than plastic alternatives while offering excellent durability for both portable and fixed installations. Its passive design allows full optimisation via external amplification and DSP, making the EMS-159 a robust, flexible and high-performance solution for system designers seeking maximum output and premium sound quality from a single full-range loudspeaker.
