Description

The Sennheiser MKH 418-S (005284) is a professional stereo shotgun condenser microphone designed for broadcast, film and location sound where focused directionality and controlled stereo imaging are required. Combining a shotgun (M) capsule with a figure-of-eight (S) capsule in a single housing, it delivers precise Mid-Side stereo recording with excellent mono compatibility.

Part of Sennheiser’s renowned MKH RF condenser range, the MKH 418-S offers very low self-noise, high sensitivity and outstanding resistance to humidity and temperature changes, making it ideal for demanding outdoor and ENG applications. Powered by 48 V phantom power, it provides clean, intelligible dialogue with adjustable stereo width in post-production, making it a trusted choice for professional broadcast and film sound engineers.
